Apple appears to have started a global roll-out of iAds — its in app advertising service. Developers report seeing ad impressions from new global locations. Until recently, the service was only available in the US and United Kingdom.
This follows reports in the summer that Apple was hiring staff for the “iAd Creative & Strategy team” based in New York
Apple’s iAd website states, “iAd reaches millions of iPhone and iPod touch users around the world.” The company reports having over 160 million iTunes accounts across 23 countries, although Apple have not confirmed whether iAds will be available in all these countries.
